New PKO Junior app for kids and refreshed 'child's finances' profile in iPKO for parents
The latest version of the PKO Junior app makes managing finances easy, intuitive, and engaging for kids (under parental supervision) and supports parents in financial education. Children can personalize the app and learn about finances with the help of a talking robot that provides tips. Parents can view and approve decisions through the refreshed 'child's finances' profile in the iPKO service. Digital version of debit cards now available at PKO Bank Polski
Digital cards are now available for individual customers using debit and credit cards from PKO Bank Polski with Visa or Mastercard logos. At the same time, customers can continue using traditional physical cards. The implementation of a dynamic CVC/CVV code on the digital card increases the level of protection and security for online card payments. PKO Bank Polski is one of the few banks worldwide to offer such a dynamic security code in its app. In the future, the bank will allow customers to choose between using only digital cards or both digital and physical versions. Completely digital mortgage process at PKO Bank Polski
Starting from September 30, PKO Bank Polski is launching the first stage of a fully remote mortgage process. This is the first solution of its kind in Poland, where the entire process – from generating an offer, submitting an application, analysis, decision-making, to signing the loan agreement – can be carried out remotely. A security key or hardware key is a small device with a USB port, resembling a pendrive. It is used to securely confirm identity online whenever the service requires two-factor authentication. In practice, this means that with the use of such a key, no unauthorized person, such as a cybercriminal, who does not have the customer’s key will be able to log into the iPKO service, even if they know the user's login and password. They can already schedule e-medical visits, purchase screen protection for their smartphones, codes for e-books and audiobooks, cinema tickets, or access to VOD services. Blockchain-based innovations - hackathon with PKO Bank Polski participation
PKO Bank Polski is a partner of the Degen Hack hackathon, which will take place this coming weekend in Warsaw. The participants' task will be to develop solutions based on blockchain technology that can be practically applied in the financial sector. Over 200 people have already confirmed their participation in the event, including programmers working on international projects and Polish companies specializing in blockchain, such as Aleph Zero and Golem Network. Jakub Wujec, a specialist from the Big Data Office in the Data Analytics Department of PKO Bank Polski, was part of the winning team in the Super Vision Hack 3: Depo Predator Challenge organized by UKNF. The team won first place and the main prize for developing a web scraping tool. The solution enables the collection and analysis of data on savings products offered by Polish banks, along with a notification mechanism for detected anomalies. It can serve as an indicator of potential liquidity problems in selected financial institutions. PKO Bank Polski automates processes using low code/no code technology
Bank employees have already created 218 tools for handling internal processes using low code/no code technology. As a result, more and more repetitive and simple back-office processes are being automated, replacing cumbersome Excel sheets, external applications, or sending documents via email. These digital tools are used in operations for tasks such as handling invoices, archiving documents, monitoring and administering products, managing credit settlements, and supporting advisors. This year, they have already completed 85,000 tasks. Low code/no code is a continuation of the bank's strategic direction towards innovation, which includes digital transformation in operations.
